Description of Tuition and Fees
Tuition and fees are set annually by the Board of Trustees of Houston Christian High School and are published in January for the following school year. The school offers families of 9th and 10th graders the opportunity to guarantee their tuition rate for the remaining years of high school.
Application Fee
The $75 application fee (listed above) is due with the application form (for new students only) and is NON-REFUNDABLE.
Reservation Fee
There is a reservation fee for returning students of $175 due with the re-enrollment contract.
Technology Prorgam
HCHS has an "Anytime Anywhere Learning" Program and students greatly benefit from a networked, state-of-the-art purchase of a laptop computer from the school. Laptop Computer: Every student is required to purchase a laptop computer through the school. The laptop bundle comes with a four year (parts and labor) warranty. Therefore, the school guarantees that a laptop purchased in the freshman year will be sufficient (with minor upgrades possibly required) through the senior year. The cost of the laptops varies from year to year, but is approximately $2,500. For more information on what is included in the bundle and the laptop specifications, please visit the Technology page.
Additional Fees
Additional fees may be charged on a user basis and include:
- ISEE Admissions Testing: In addition to the amounts listed above, new students will be expected to complete ISEE admissions testing at a cost of $80.00.
- Distinguished Scholars Program: Students participating in the Distinguished Scholars program will be charged an additional $3,000 for the 2008-2009 academic school year.
- AP Program: Students purchase their own textbooks for pre-AP and AP class. The cost of these textbooks varies. All other textbooks are included in tuition.
- Discovery/NILD Program: Students accepted into the one-on-one Discovery/NILD program will be charged an additional $7,700 for the 2008-2009 academic school year.
